Police search for suspect

Cape Breton Post - - CAPE BRETON -

MEMBERTOU — The Cape Breton Regional Police are looking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in a recent act of indecent exposure in the parking lot of the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre.

At about 11 p.m., Sunday, a female employee was leaving work at the centre when a male suspect got out of his car and exposed himself to her. Another man attempted to stop the suspect from driving away by placing his hand in the open driver’s side window. The driver closed the window on the man’s hand and drove off, dragging the man with him through the parking lot. The window broke and the man fell free and the suspect fled.

The suspect was driving a fourdoor silver vehicle with a broken window on the driver’s side. The suspect is described as a 30 to 40-yearold male, six feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing a dark jacket at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident, the suspect or the vehicle involved is asked to contact Cape Breton Regional Police, 563-5151 or Crime Stoppers, 1-800-222-TIPS and online at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
