Man pleads not guilty af­ter drug bust

PORT HAWKES­BURY — A Point Cross man will go to trial April 27 on a num­ber of charges.

Wayne Tim­mons, 62, en­tered not guilty pleas in Port Hood pro­vin­cial court Wed­nes­day to charges of pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing, unau­tho­rized pos­ses­sion of a firearm, and un­safe stor­age of a firearm.

Tim­mons was ar­rested af­ter a drug bust in the Cheti­camp area in Novem­ber. Po­lice say they seized mar­i­juana, cash and drug para­pher­na­lia.
