Dressed for winter
Sidney Reid, co-founder of the Knit Fit Knit-a-thon, bundles up a statue of Sydney’s founder, J.F.W. Des Barres, with some hand-knitted items to promote the upcoming charitable event. The knit-a-thon has become an annual event that started three years ago and has led to the donation of more than 500 knitted items to community members in need. This year’s event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McConnell Library in Sydney and the Baddeck Library.
