More effort needed to use business park

Cape Breton Post - - COMMENT -

The Northside Bsuiness Park has been sadly neglected over the past number of years by the regional government which hasn’t been promoted the use of vacant buildings. Surely some effort could be made by area councillors as well as federal representatives and MLAs, who could approach federal and provincial governments. There has to be some use for these vacant buildings.

The Keata Pharma building is a great asset. The company wasn’t around long enough to fill a prescription.

This park is fully serviced and is located next to the only composite high school in the province. There’s lots of room there to build or lease training facilities and maybe we wouldn’t need a new $30 million correctional centre.

I hope Sydport will succeed to its full potential because that would help the entire island economy. But let’s not let the park become a wasteland or be neglected totally.

Congratulations on opening a recycling centre but we do need more. Charles Keagan North Sydney
