Ea­gles Adam, Brodeur named QMJHL play­ers of the week

SYD­NEY — Two mem­bers of the Cape Bre­ton Scream­ing Ea­gles have been named the Que­bec Ma­jor Ju­nior Hockey League play­ers of the week.

Scream­ing Ea­gles for­ward Luke Adam and his team­mate Mathieu Brodeur were named the of­fen­sive and de­fen­sive play­ers of the week, re­spec­tively, for the pe­riod Feb. 15-21.

Adam recorded three goals and four as­sists in the Scream­ing Ea­gles three most re­cent wins. Fur­ther­more, he scored a gamewin­ner and posted a +6 rat­ing. Fi­nally, he was named the first star of Sun­day’s game which saw Cape Bre­ton de­feat the Hal­i­fax

Brodeur was dom­i­nant on the Scream­ing Ea­gles blue-line, reg­is­ter­ing four points in three games. More­over, he posted an im­pres­sive +9 rat­ing. And he pun­ished op­po­nents, record­ing six thun­der­ous body­checks.
