New court dates set
SYDNEY — Three Bay St. Lawrence men facing charges after a break-in at the Bay St. Lawrence community centre during which the building was heavily vandalized will be back in court next month.
Blaine Eric MacLellan, 18, is charged with theft over $5,000, two counts of mischief, multiple counts of breaching court-ordered conditions, two counts of resisting a peace officer and a count of uttering threats. He remains free on conditions and will be back in court March 1 in Sydney.
William Charles Bonnar, 18, is charged with break and enter and mischief. The matter was adjourned during a court appearance this week and he will appear in Baddeck provincial court March 8. He remains free on a recognizance.
Jake Hector MacKinnon, 18, is charged with two counts of mischief, theft over $5,000 and three counts of breaching court-ordered conditions. He is also free on a recognizance and will be back in court in Baddeck, March 8.
The break-in was reported to Ingonish Beach RCMP at 10 p.m. on Christmas Day. RCMP did not have an estimate for the damage, but it is believed to be in excess of $5,000.
