New court dates set

SYD­NEY — Three Bay St. Lawrence men fac­ing charges af­ter a break-in at the Bay St. Lawrence com­mu­nity cen­tre dur­ing which the build­ing was heav­ily van­dal­ized will be back in court next month.

Blaine Eric MacLel­lan, 18, is charged with theft over $5,000, two counts of mis­chief, mul­ti­ple counts of breach­ing court-or­dered con­di­tions, two counts of re­sist­ing a peace of­fi­cer and a count of ut­ter­ing threats. He re­mains free on con­di­tions and will be back in court March 1 in Syd­ney.

William Charles Bon­nar, 18, is charged with break and en­ter and mis­chief. The mat­ter was ad­journed dur­ing a court ap­pear­ance this week and he will ap­pear in Bad­deck pro­vin­cial court March 8. He re­mains free on a re­cog­ni­zance.

Jake Hec­tor MacK­in­non, 18, is charged with two counts of mis­chief, theft over $5,000 and three counts of breach­ing court-or­dered con­di­tions. He is also free on a re­cog­ni­zance and will be back in court in Bad­deck, March 8.

The break-in was re­ported to Ingonish Beach RCMP at 10 p.m. on Christ­mas Day. RCMP did not have an es­ti­mate for the dam­age, but it is be­lieved to be in ex­cess of $5,000.
