ARICHAT — A career fair for Grades 7-12 students at École Beauport this morning will help guide where their interests lie, said vice-principal Margaret Landry.

Several local professionals and tradespeople will represent their respective profession at kiosks. Students will have 10 minutes to learn as much as they can about each occupation before a bell moves them along to the next kiosk.

“It kind of plants the seed of interest,” Landry said.

“Hopefully what they’ll hear from some of the presenters will give them some idea as to what their talents are and what their talents might be.”

She said the students should be aware of the number of careers that are available and the ones most in demand.

With a Primary to Grade 12 student population of 253, Landry said students will hear from a doctor, dentist, and Richmond MLA Michel Samson, who’s trained as a lawyer.
