Marchant rink 3-1 af­ter Day 2 at se­nior curl­ing

AMHERST, N.S. — The Bad­deck Curl­ing Club four­some skipped by Bill Marchant stands with a 3-1 record af­ter Day 2 of the 2010 Nova Sco­tia Se­nior Men’s Cham­pi­onship at Amherst Curl­ing Club, Thurs­day.

Marchant’s rink got past the Dave McCusker rink from the Mayflower Curl­ing Club in Hal­i­fax by an 8-6 score. That was af­ter the team suf­fered their first loss of the event Thurs­day morn­ing, a 10-7 set­back to the NSCA rink skipped by Brian Ra­fuse.

Marchant’s crew con­tin­ues play to­day at 2 p.m. against NSCA’s Bruce Lohnes. Play con­cludes, Sun­day.

Marchant is joined on the team by third Don An­der­son, sec­ond Athol Grant and lead Bert Whitty.
