Hal­i­fax

Jeffrey Aaron Erick­son, 43, died from com­pli­ca­tions fol­low­ing ill health in Hal­i­fax on June 29, 2015.

Born in Wil­li­man­tic, Con­necti­cut, Jeffrey moved with his par­ents to Hal­i­fax in 1973. He grew up and lived in Hal­i­fax, where he at­tended Mount Saint Vin­cent Univer­sity, with pe­ri­odic vis­its to the United States, Cape Bre­ton, and Al­berta. Jeffrey was bright and fun-lov­ing and en­joyed spend­ing time with fam­ily and friends. He was es­pe­cially fond of mu­sic, movies and an­i­mals, which gave him great joy. He found speak­ing to school groups re­ward­ing. All those who knew him will miss him pro­foundly.

Jeffrey is sur­vived by his par­ents, Pa­tri­cia Erick­son and Paul Erick­son, Hal­i­fax; step­mother, Dawn Erick­son, Hal­i­fax; brother, David Erick­son, Hal­i­fax; sis­ter, Bethany Erick­son Ro­drigues, Wim­ble­don, Eng­land; aunts, Ann Graham, Shel­byville, Ken­tucky, and Mary Bleak­ley, Mackinaw City, Michigan; step­sis­ters, Pa­tri­cia Mitchell and Jac­que­line Mitchell, Hal­i­fax; step­brother, Christo­pher Mitchell, Hal­i­fax; and cousins, Corinna Pan­nell, Simp­sonville, Ken­tucky, Han­nah Davis, Louisville, Ken­tucky, and James Pool, Fern­dale, Michigan.

His fam­ily wishes to thank all those in­di­vid­u­als and or­ga­ni­za­tions who helped Jef- frey dur­ing his life­time, with a spe­cial thanks to the res­i­dents and staff of Tal­bot House, French­vale.

There will be a fu­neral mass for Jeffrey on July 4 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 177 French­vale Rd., French­vale, presided over by Fr. Paul Ab­bass. The mass will be pre­ceded by vis­i­ta­tion and fol­lowed im­me­di­ately by in­ter­ment. Cre­ma­tion has taken place.

For those who wish to ex­press con­do­lences, Jeffrey’s par­ents in­vite you to a re­cep­tion on July 6, from 2- 4 p. m., at the home of Pa­tri­cia Mitchell and Rene Gallant, 30 Lake­front Dr., Ham­monds Plains.
