Eska­soni man charged with thefts re­leased

SYD­NEY — An Eska­soni man fac­ing charges of break, en­ter and theft was re­leased on con­di­tions fol­low­ing a bail hear­ing Mon­day.

Frank Joseph Goo­goo, 25, will now ap­pear in court for plea on July 27. Goo­goo is fac­ing four counts of break, en­ter and theft.

A co-ac­cused, Bryan Court­ney Charles Mar­shall, 29, of Chapel Is­land, is charged with two counts of break, en­ter and theft.

He was orig­i­nally ex­pected to en­ter a plea on the charges Thurs­day, but that has been changed to July 30.

A third ac­cused, Jan­ice Mar­cializ Mar­shall, 24, of Eska­soni, is fac­ing two counts of break, en­ter and theft, and is sched­uled to en­ter pleas July 13.

In all, there are six peo­ple charged in con­nec­tion with a num­ber of break and en­ters over the last week­end in May.

Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Po­lice ar­rested the six on May 30 af­ter res­i­dents along the Derby Point Road in Vic­to­ria County re­ported a sus­pi­cious ve­hi­cle in the area.
