Man res­cued from ocean off Peggy’s Cove

PEGGY’S COVE — Po­lice in Nova Sco­tia say an On­tario man has been res­cued from the ocean af­ter fall­ing from the rocks at Peggy’s Cove. RCMP say the 26-year- old man went into the wa­ter near the pop­u­lar tourist des­ti­na­tion around 4:30 p.m. Thurs­day. The Moun­ties say he was in the ocean for 10 min­utes be­fore he was pulled from the wa­ter by the crew of a nearby tour boat. RCMP Cpl. D.L. Allen says the man was con­scious and breath­ing when he was res­cued and is ex­pected to sur­vive. Ear­lier this year a 25-year- old man from On­tario was swept off the rocks and into the ocean at Peggy’s Cove. Po­lice called off their search for the man af­ter dive teams scoured the wa­ters but could not find him. The Cana­dian Press
