New Water­ford man fac­ing host of of­fences re­leased on bail

SYD­NEY — A New Water­ford man was re­leased on a re­cog­ni­zance last Mon­day fol­low­ing a bail hear­ing in Syd­ney pro­vin­cial court. An­gus Bryan Mac­Don­ald, 35, of Olive Street, is charged with three counts of as­sault­ing po­lice of­fi­cers and sin­gle counts of ut­ter­ing a threat to an of­fi­cer, dan­ger­ous driv­ing, mis­chief (prop­erty dam­age by run­ning over a wooden bench), com­mit­ting an in­de­cent act by ex­pos­ing his penis, evad­ing po­lice and breach­ing a court or­der. The of­fences are al­leged to have oc­curred June 24 in New Water­ford. He was re­leased on a $10,000 surety. Mac­Don­ald posted $5,000 in real and per­sonal prop­erty, and two other in­di­vid­u­als put up $3,000 and $2,000 in their own prop­erty. Mac­Don­ald is now due in court for plea on July 31.
