New Waterford man facing host of offences released on bail
SYDNEY — A New Waterford man was released on a recognizance last Monday following a bail hearing in Sydney provincial court. Angus Bryan MacDonald, 35, of Olive Street, is charged with three counts of assaulting police officers and single counts of uttering a threat to an officer, dangerous driving, mischief (property damage by running over a wooden bench), committing an indecent act by exposing his penis, evading police and breaching a court order. The offences are alleged to have occurred June 24 in New Waterford. He was released on a $10,000 surety. MacDonald posted $5,000 in real and personal property, and two other individuals put up $3,000 and $2,000 in their own property. MacDonald is now due in court for plea on July 31.
