Corey Deveaux of Sydney River repeated as men’s champion in the Olympic distance of the Ingonish Triathlon on Sunday in Ingonish Beach. Deveaux finished in a time of two hours, 15 minutes and 35 seconds. Chris Milburn of Sydney placed second in 2:24.26, while Doran Donovan of Halifax was third in 2:39.34. Micheline McWhirter of Halifax was the lone woman in the Olympic distance. She finished in 2:40.07. Allan MacKenzie of Sydney River took the men’s sprint distance in 1:13.34, while Julie Curwin of Sydney won the women’s sprint in 1:18:16. In the try-a-tri, Alexis Donovan of Halifax won the women’s race in 56:42, while Liam McCormick took the men’s race in 56:48.
