Canada Games Complex to be discussed at town hall

Cape Breton Post - - SPORTS - SYDNEY

A set of town hall discussions have been scheduled to discuss potential opportunities for the Canada Games Complex.

The first town hall will be held on Thursday at the Canada Games Complex from 6-8 p.m.

The discussion will be guided by three points: assessment of needs within the community; stakeholder analysis — who has an interest? And how to move the idea(s) forward?

Town halls are also scheduled for July 15 at the Baddeck Community Hall, July 16 at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre’s Shannon Studio, July 22 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 32 in Cheticamp and July 23 at the Inverness Fire Department. Each run from 6-8 p.m.

Other meetings will also be held in Glace Bay, New Waterford, Eskasoni and North Sydney. Updates will be posted at www.cbu.ca/cgc.

Anyone unable to attend the meetings, but wants to submit an idea can contact Lindsey MacIntosh at lindsey_macintosh@cbu.ca or phone 902-5631951.
