Cow Flop Contest back for another year

Raises money for Riverview Rural High students

Cape Breton Post - - NEWS -

The MacLellan Scholarship Fund Cow Flop Contest is back for its 15th year of supporting Riverview Rural High students with financial aid.

The fund was started after J.J. MacLellan died in a motorcycle accident. Each year, two students from Riverview receive a scholarship from the proceeds.

The cow flop contest kicks off Action Week in August.

A cow is put in a field with a grid of squares. Each ticket sold represents a square. If the cow flop lands on your square, you win.

The approximate value of the prize if all tickets are sold is $5,625. The same amount is given to the Riverview Memorial Scholarship account.
