LEBLANC, James ‘Rick’ Roscoe
St. Thomas, Ont./Mill Creek It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Rick LeBlanc, announce his passing on July 1, 2015 in St. Thomas, Ont.
Born in Mill Creek, Cape Breton, Jan. 1940, Rick was the son of Everett and Agnes (Dugas) LeBlanc.
In his young life he worked on the Great Lake boats for a few years, then returned home to work in the fishing industry. After a short time he moved with his young family to Ontario.
He worked with Schneider’s Meats for a time before getting a job with Ford Canada and worked there until his retirement. Rick was always a hard worker and devoted to his family.
He is survived by his sons, Bruce and Bob, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by sisters, Helene (Blake) Marsh, Mill Creek; Pat LeBlanc, Calgary; Sharon (Gord) MacNeil, Wasaga Beach, Ont.; Marie, St. Thomas, Ont.; brothers, Mike, Woodstock, Ont., Campbell and Brian, Florence, Cape Breton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick is also survived by his ex- wife, Sylvia (Marsh) LeBlanc, the mother of his children and his estranged wife, Sandi LeBlanc.
Predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer and son, Richard; sisters, Agnes, Veronica, Anne, Heather and Debbie; brothers, Joe, Evie and Bruce.
Donations in Rick’s memory can be made to the Parkinson Society, the Lung Association or a charity of choice.
Viewing took place at Williams Funeral Home in St. Thomas, Ont. on Tuesday, July 7th, cremation to follow. Burial at a later date.
