MACNEIL, Rod­die Ed­ward

Grass Cove Rod­die Ed­ward MacNeil, 83, of Grass Cove, Vic­to­ria County, N.S. died July 7, 2015 at the Vic­to­ria County Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal.

Born in Grass Cove on Oct. 13, 1931, he was the son of the late James S. and Mary (MacIn­nis) MacNeil. Rod­die was re­tired from the Lit­tle Nar­row Gyp­sum and a life­long mem­ber of St. Columba Parish, Iona.

He is sur­vived by his brother, Joe (Mary), Grass Cove; three sis­ters, Peggy (Frank Vitelli), Toronto, Ann Booth, Toronto, Is­abel (Allen Dixon), Cal­gary and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

Be­side his par­ents, Rod­die was pre­de­ceased by his broth­ers, Sylvester and John.

Keep­ing with Rod­die wishes, cre­ma­tion has taken place and there will be no vis­i­ta­tion or fu­neral. In­ter­ment will be held at a later date.

The fam­ily ex­tend sin­cere thanks to Doc­tors Genge, Rit­ter, Chow and the nurses and staff at Vic­to­ria County Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal for their care, kind­ness and sup­port.
