Con­cert com­ing up

The 59th An­nual Broad Cove Scot­tish Con­cert is an out­door Scot­tish va­ri­ety con­cert held ev­ery year on the last Sun­day in July since 1957 on the grounds of St. Mar­garet of Scot­land Parish in In­ver­ness County. This year, it will be held on July 26 at 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a dance to fol­low at the South­west Mar­ga­ree Hall. The con­cert show­cases tra­di­tional mu­si­cians, dancers, and voices on an out­door stage. This year's fea­ture acts in­clude A Trib­ute to Buddy MacMaster, Nual­lan, and the Chais­sons of P.E.I. This is an all ages show with am­ple park­ing, can­teen ser­vices, and a re­fresh­ment tent for those 19 and over. This is the old­est out­door Scot­tish con­cert at Broad Cove, lo­cated north of In­ver­ness. Pro­gram and con­cert de­tails are avail­able at www.broad­cov­econ­cert.ca.
