Juli Soler, El Bulli res­tau­rant co-owner, dies at 66

THE AS­SO­CI­ATED PRESS MADRID - Juli Soler, who co-ran the world-ac­claimed res­tau­rant El Bulli and dis­cov­ered top chef Fer­ran Adria, has died. He was aged 66. Adria an­nounced that Soler died on Mon­day at his home in Rubi, near Barcelona. Adria said on his of­fi­cial Twit­ter ac­count that it was “the sad­dest news I wish that I have never had to bear.” Soler was an es­sen­tial fig­ure in what be­came one of the world's most in­flu­en­tial restau­rants.
