It is with pro­found sad­ness that we an­nounce the pass­ing of Sheilagh Marie Burchell-Burke of the Val­ley View Villa, River­ton for­merly of Lorne, Pic­tou County, N.S. on July 9, 2015 at the Val­ley View Villa.

Born in Syd­ney Mines, she was a daugh­ter of the late Charles and Anne (In­gra­ham) MacIn­tyre. Sheilagh was a mem­ber of The Church of Je­sus Christ of Lat­ter Day Saints in New Glas­gow where she was a mem­ber of the Women’s Re­lief So­ci­ety.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band, Gary Burke, Lorne; daugh­ter, Shan­non (Tom) Power, Syd­ney; son, James (Ni­cole) Burchell, Petawawa, Ont.; grand­chil­dren, Matthew, Owen, Graeme, Evan and Paige; sis­ters, Marie ( Jim) Pel­letier, Florida; Sharon (Terry) Du­carme, Syd­ney Mines; Linda (Dave) Covin, Cal­gary; Ron­nie (Kevin) MacIn­tyre, Dart­mouth; Bev­erly Fortin, Hal­i­fax; brother, Billy MacIn­tyre, Syd­ney; and many nieces, neph­ews and friends.

She was pre­de­ceased by her first hus­band, James Burchell and a brother, Bruce MacIn­tyre.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sun­day in the H.W. An­gus Fu­neral Home, New Glas­gow. Fu­neral ser­vice will be held at 11 a.m. Mon­day in the H.W. An­gus Fu­neral Home Chapel with Pres­i­dent Stephen Mac­Don­ald of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lour­des Ceme­tery.
