Eric Dwight Rudderham, 53, of Florence, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in buprenorphine. He was remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre pending his next court appearance. Buprenorphine is primarily used in the treatment of heroin and oxycodone addiction. A second man, who was not named by police, was arrested inside the home in Florence. He was charged with possession of hydromorphone and buprenorphine. The man was released from police custody and will appear in provincial court at a later date. The information on the charges laid against the man hadn’t been formally filed in court.
