Town House holding events throughout summer
The Glace Bay Citizens Service League Nursery School Reunion is holding a reunion, “Celebrating Childhood Across the Generations.”
If you attended nursery school between 1965 and 2015, or were a nursery school volunteer or nursery school teacher during the past 50 years, call Town House and RSVP your attendance.
The event is being held to recognize the large and growing nursery school family. It will be held at 150 Commercial St. on Wednesday, August 12, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Rain date is Friday, August 14.
There will be entertainment, a magic show and balloon animals and refreshments on the front lawn. Yard games such as red rover, kick the can, tug of war, sack races and other favourites from across the generations will be played.
Also at Town House, a race for youth will be held. Up to 12 teams of two to four people between the ages of 12 and 18 will be needed to participate. Teams will compete by following clues and completing challenges at locations in downtown Glace Bay. There will also be a chance to win prizes. Those who wish to take part, must preregister.
