Weapons charges stayed against Sydney man
SYDNEY — Weapons charges against a Sydney man have been stayed after a provincial court ap- pearance. John Thomas Campbell, 32, was charged with careless storage of a weapon (.303 rifle), possession of a rifle without a licence and possession of a rifle knowing he had no licence. The offences allegedly occurred in June 2012 in New Waterford. The Crown served notice this week it was staying the charges, meaning it has one year in which to refile the charges. If not refiled, the charges are dismissed.
