MacNeil to enter plea on intimidation charge
SYDNEY — A Glace Bay man is to return to provincial court July 21 to enter pleas on charges including intimidation of a witness. Morgan James MacNeil, 24, currently serving time in a federal prison on robbery charges, is charged with intimidation and breaching a court order. The offences allegely occurred June 2 in Sydney when MacNeil allegedly threatened a witness testifying at a preliminary hearing for MacNeil and Thomas Ted Barrett. Both men are charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death 2012 death of Laura Catherine Jessome whose remains were found in the Mira River near Marion Bridge. Both accused will stand trial on the charge next year.
