New Waterford man sentenced for resisting arrest
SYDNEY — A New Waterford man has pleaded guilty to two offences while two others were dismissed. Dustin James Gillis, 32, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and breaching a court order. Charges of assault causing bodily harm and assaulting a police officer were dismissed Gillis was scheduled to stand trial on all four charges but the Crown accepted a guilty plea on two and dismissed the remainder. Gillis was sentenced to one day served by his presence in court.
