New Waterford man sentenced fo several offences
SYDNEY — Having already served 135 days on remand, a New Waterford man received an additional two-month jail sentence and probation after pleading guilty to several offences. Ryan Mark MacDougall, 25, was sentenced on four counts of breaching court orders, three counts of assault, and single counts of theft, break and enter, fraud, mischief in giving a false name to police and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding the legal limit. The offences occurred between 2001 and earlier this year in Sydney, New Waterford and Dartmouth. MacDougall was also ordered to complete a two-year probation period and to pay $1,300 in restitution. He was also fined $1,400 for the driving violation and had his licence suspended for one year.
