New trial date to be set for Sydney man
SYDNEY — A Sydney man is now expected to receive a trial date Sept. 9 on charges including obstruction of justice. Lawrence Frederick Borden, 58, of George Street is charged with obstruction in attempting to get a witness to lie and with breaching a court order. The offences allegedly occurred Oct. 24, 2012, in Sydney. Borden, who is now completing a jail sentence on unrelated offences, previously pleaded not guilty to the charges.
