Town House of­fer­ing cour­ses

GLACE BAY — A num­ber of cour­ses are be­ing of­fered at Town House.

• A de­fen­sive driv­ing course will be of­fered on Thurs­day, July 30 at 6 p.m. and the fee is $85. This course meets the re­quire­ments of Nova Sco­tia’s exit from the grad­u­ated li­cens­ing pro­gram.

• A safe boating course will take place on Tues­day, July 28 from 610 p.m. The fee is $65. All op­er­a­tors of boats, in­clud­ing per­sonal wa­ter craft, must be in pos­ses­sion of a plea­sure craft op­er­a­tor card.

• A babysit­ting course, open to young peo­ple 11 years of age and older, will be of­fered. The fee is $40. A course date will be de­ter­mined as regis­tra­tions are re­ceived.

• A first aid/CPR stan­dard two- day course, which in­cludes au­to­mated ex­ter­nal de­fib­ril­la­tion, will be of­fered. The course fee is $110. A course date will be de­ter­mined as regis­tra­tions are re­ceived. Any­one in­ter­ested in any of the cour­ses is asked to tele­phone Town House at 902-849-2449.
