Discus throwing

Cape Breton Post - - SPORTS -

The throwing of a heavy disc is one of mankind’s oldest sports, dating back as far as 708 BC. The sport is alive and well today as evidenced by Sydney’s Andrew MacLeod, who is shown here in the middle of his pre-throw spin at the Atlantic Street track and field facilities. MacLeod and other members of the Track and Field Association of Cape Breton (TFACB) can often be found practicing their techniques in a number of disciplines, including discus, shot put and javelin.
