He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Campbell, stepmother Rene MacLean, brothers, John Murdock and Peter, and brother-in-law Stephen MacInnis.
Sharkey worked in the trucking business all his life, while spending the last 20 years with Armour-Pole Star. He was an avid, die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan and never gave up on them winning a Stanley Cup. In saying that, we ask that you wear any Maple Leafs attire to a celebration of his life, which will be held Monday, July 20 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Parish East Bay. The family will receive friends and visitors in the foyer from 1-2:30 p.m. Interment in East Bay Cemetery. There will be a reception at the East Bay Fire Hall following.
