Estrada pitches eight strong in­nings for Jays

TORONTO — Marco Estrada pitched eight ef­fec­tive in­nings, while Chris Co­la­bello and Jose Bautista each hit two-run home runs Sun­day as the Toronto Blue Jays de­feated the Tampa Bay Rays 4-0. Estrada (7-5) held the Rays to three hits with no walks and five strike­outs. He faced one bat­ter over the min­i­mum to win for the sixth time in his past eight starts. By win­ning the rub­ber match of the three-game se­ries, the Blue Jays climbed back to .500 at 47-47 — the same record as the Rays. Tampa starter Chris Archer (9-7) al­lowed five hits, one walk and two runs while strik­ing out six in seven in­nings. Tim Beck­ham led off the third in­ning for the Rays with a dou­ble. He was later picked off third by catcher Dioner Navarro to end the in­ning.
