Estrada pitches eight strong innings for Jays
TORONTO — Marco Estrada pitched eight effective innings, while Chris Colabello and Jose Bautista each hit two-run home runs Sunday as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 4-0. Estrada (7-5) held the Rays to three hits with no walks and five strikeouts. He faced one batter over the minimum to win for the sixth time in his past eight starts. By winning the rubber match of the three-game series, the Blue Jays climbed back to .500 at 47-47 — the same record as the Rays. Tampa starter Chris Archer (9-7) allowed five hits, one walk and two runs while striking out six in seven innings. Tim Beckham led off the third inning for the Rays with a double. He was later picked off third by catcher Dioner Navarro to end the inning.
