MOR­RI­SON, J. Al­li­son

It is with heavy hearts that we an­nounce the pass­ing of Al­li­son Mor­ri­son, 82, of Celtic Court in Syd­ney — where she has been a res­i­dent for a year and a half.

Born in Glace Bay, she was the daugh­ter of the late, Daniel and Ma­bel (Ke­hoe) Shep­herd. She was a grad­u­ate of the Glace Bay Hos­pi­tal School of Nurs­ing in 1953, and worked for a pe­riod of time at the Syd­ney City Hos­pi­tal.

Al­li­son is the last mem­ber of her im­me­di­ate fam­ily. She is sur­vived by one daugh­ter, San­dra (Ge­orge Jones), South Bar; one son, Don­ald (Francine Leblanc), Dart­mouth; two grand­chil­dren, Caro­line Leblanc, and Pa­trick Mul­rooney; and many nieces and neph­ews. Be­sides her par­ents, she was pre­de­ceased by her hus­band, An­gus (Gus) Mor­ri­son, 1988, one daugh­ter, Kathy, 1993, two sis­ters, Jean Smith and He­len Shep­herd, and two broth­ers, Bud and Bill Shep­herd.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be held at Syd­ney Me­mo­rial Chapel on Tues­day, July 21, 2-4 7-9 p.m. Fu­neral ser­vice will be held Wed­nes­day at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial at For­est Haven Me­mo­rial Gar­dens.

Al­li­son’s fam­ily would like to thank the staff of Celtic Court for all of their love and com­pas­sion for our mother dur­ing her stay there.
