Bail hearing set for Albert Bridge man
SYDNEY — An Albert Bridge man will be back in court Friday for a bail hearing. Andrew Phillip MacIntyre, 33, was remanded to jail last week from his hospital bed where he was recovering a from a broken leg after he allegedly fled a vehicle stopped by Cape Breton Regional Police. He was charged by police with two counts of breaching the conditions of his release. At the time of his most recent arrest, MacIntyre was on conditions having been charged previously with two counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats and single counts of forcible entry and mischief. When police stopped a vehicle in Sydney last week, a passenger fled the vehicle but was soon apprehended. The man suffered a broken leg. The injury is now under investigation by members of the Serious Incident Response Team.
