NEW WATER­FORD - Coal Dust Days con­tin­ues to­day, from 11 a.m. un­til 5 p.m., with the pop­u­lar Plum­mer Ave. Day. Spon­sored by Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Mu­nic­i­pal­ity recre­ation and the Coal Dust Days Com­mit­tee, it’s de­scribed as, ‘the big­gest and the best block party in Cape Bre­ton.’ There will be games, prizes, com­mu­nity booths, food and en­ter­tain­ment through­out the day. Other events Thurs­day in­clude: • 10 a.m.-8 p.m., beer gar­den, spon­sored by the Royal Cana­dian Le­gion in the le­gion park­ing lot. There is no ad­mis­sion but you must be 19 years of age or older to at­tend. • 12 noon, K-40 Bingo, spon­sored by New Water­ford K-40 Club and held at the New Water­ford Se­niors and Pen­sion­ers Club on Plum­mer Ave. • 1-4 p.m.;, Coal Dust Days Sec­ond An­nual Mo­tor­cy­cle Show and Shine at the Royal Cana­dian Le­gion. • 7 p.m.-2 a.m., Wing Night at the French Club with en­ter­tain­ment by Tony Leudy and Ron­nie Ho­gan. Must be 19 years of age or older. • 7:30 p.m., Bingo at the Army Navy & Air Force Vets Unit 217. • 7- 11 p.m., Plum­mer Av­enue Day Wrap Up Party with en­ter­tain­ment by the An­drew Doyle Band.
