Marie Dupe is found stabbed to death dur­ing her first shift work­ing at a Syd­ney con­ve­nience store.


The case goes cold un­til 2001 when po­lice en­ter DNA from a cig­a­rette butt found at the crime scene and it’s found to be­long to Ernest Gor­don Strow­bridge of On­tario, who even­tu­ally tracked down through an elab­o­rate po­lice sting.

Ernest Gor­don Strow­bridge is found guilty of her mur­der.

Strow­bridge died in an Ed­mon­ton hos­pi­tal on Feb 27, 2013, of nat­u­ral causes, at age 37.
