It is with bro­ken hearts that we the fam­ily an­nounce the pass­ing of Lil­lian Dunn on Thurs­day, July 23, 2015 at the Har­bour View Hos­pi­tal, Syd­ney Mines.

Born in Lark Har­bour, New­found­land, she was the daugh­ter of the late John and El­iza (Wheeler) Druggett.

She was for­merly em­ployed with “The Met” Syd­ney and The Cove Guest Home be­fore re­tire­ment.

She was a 30-year mem­ber of the Cape Bre­ton An­tique & Cus­tom Car Club, along with hus­band Gor­don, where she en­joyed club cruises, car shows and many other club func­tions. She en­joyed be­ing part of the Brook­shaven Dart League. She was a won­der­ful wife and mother, look­ing af­ter ev­ery ones needs prior to her own. She was a friend to all that met her. She en­joyed mak­ing trips to New­found­land to visit with fam­ily and friends.

Lil­lian is sur­vived by the love of her life, hus­band, Gor­don Dunn, her chil­dren, Wen­dell (Denise), Prime Brook, Craig, Fred­er­ic­ton, N.B., daugh­ter Denise Dunn, Prime Brook; three pre­cious grand­chil­dren, James, Lily and Olivia. She is also sur­vived by her brother John (Carol) Druggett, Kip­pens, N.L.; sis­ters-in-law, Mil- lie (Eric) Lordly, Emmie Dunn, brother-in-law Calvin Wheeler; her spe­cial niece, Deb­bie (Bryan) McLeod, as well as sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

Be­sides her par­ents, she was pre­de­ceased by her sis­ters, Lorraine (Rud­dolf) Mouland, Is­abel Wheeler, Loretta (Arthur) Wheeler, sis­ters-in-law, Rose, Mar­jorie and Vi­vian, broth­ers-in­law, Gerald, Arthur, Ken­neth and Wal­lace.

Cre­ma­tion has taken place. Vis­i­ta­tion will be held Mon­day, July 27, 2015 at the S.W. Chant & Son Fu­neral Home, 564 Alexan­dra St., Syd­ney from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A me­mo­rial ser­vice will take place 11 a.m. Tues­day, July 28, 2015 in the fu­neral chapel.
