Syd­ney Veron­ica Camp­bell of Richard Hines En­riched Hous­ing, 27 Xavier Dr., Syd­ney, passed away peace­fully at the age of 92 with lov­ing fam­ily by her side on July 26, 2015, at Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Hos­pi­tal, An Cala unit.

Born in Syd­ney, she was the daugh­ter of the late Alexan­der and Mary Ann (Mor­ri­son) Camp­bell.

Veron­ica was an amaz­ing teacher who taught for 42 years with the ma­jor­ity of her ca­reer at Vil­lanova School, Whit­ney Pier.

She is sur­vived by sis­ter, Theresa (Basil) Lewis, for­merly of Syd­ney now liv­ing in Or­leans, Ont.; as well as be­ing a lov­ing aunt to many nieces and neph­ews and their fam­i­lies.

Veron­ica was pre­de­ceased by sis­ters, Louise Camp­bell, Jessie Camp­bell, Martina Camp­bell, Mar­guerite (Nor­man) Kennedy, Sadie (Wil­liam) Keough, Mar­garet (Michael) McNeil, Mary (Bil­lie) Burke, Agnes ( Jack) MacDougall, Genevieve (Pierce) Keough, Sis­ter Co­line Camp­bell CND; broth­ers, Michael (Ce­celia) and Rod (Carolyn).

Do­na­tions in Veron­ica’s mem­ory may be made to the An Cala pal­lia­tive-care unit at the Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Hos­pi­tal.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be held 6-9 p.m. on Wed­nes­day, July 29 at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Fu- neral mass will be cel­e­brated 10 a.m. on Thurs­day, July 30, at Holy Redeemer Church, Whit­ney Pier. Rev. Paul Mur­phy will of­fi­ci­ate. In­ter­ment in Res­ur­rec­tion Ceme­tery, Syd­ney Forks.
