Bail hearing set for Sydney Mines woman
SYDNEY — A Sydney Mines woman is scheduled back in court Friday for a bail hearing after being charged in connection with a stabbing. Amie Marie Kuta, 37, of Barron Street is charged with assault with a weapon (a knife), assault and breaching a court order. She was charged after a Tuesday incident in which another woman received a non-life-threatening stab wound. According to Cape Breton Regional Police, the altercation occurred outside a residence on King Street in North Sydney between two women who were known to each other.
