Cubs, Ea­gles end con­so­la­tion in tie

The Cape Bre­ton Cubs and East Ne­pean Ea­gles mu­tu­ally agreed to end their con­so­la­tion game at the 2015 Cana­dian Se­nior Lit­tle League Cham­pi­onship in Co­quit­lam, B.C., in a 6-6 draw. Ac­cord­ing to or­ga­niz­ers, the game was planned to be five in­nings to ac­com­mo­date the 3 p.m. lo­cal start for the fi­nal. With the game tied af­ter five in­nings, the clubs agreed to end the game. Cape Bre­ton’s Even Jar­dine recorded two hits and two RBI in the game. Lo­gan MacNeil swat­ted an RBI dou­ble. The Cubs were edged 4-3 by the North Regina All-Stars in Tues­day’s semi­fi­nal. In the fi­nal, North Regina bested Whal­ley Lit­tle League, 5-2.
