Dubois nets OT win­ner as Ea­gles down Sags

Pierre- Luc Dubois scored with 1: 18 left in over­time to give the Cape Bre­ton Scream­ing Ea­gles a 4- 3 win over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens on Tues­day night in Chicoutimi, Que.

Cape Bre­ton leads the be­stof- seven Que­bec Ma­jor Ju­nior Hockey League open­inground se­ries 2- 1.

The Scream­ing Ea­gles re­lin­quished a three- goal lead in the third pe­riod, but pulled out the vic­tory.

Cape Bre­ton’s Michael Joly was de­nied on a penalty shot and a break­away ear­lier in the OT pe­riod.

Af­ter a score­less first pe­riod, Cape Bre­ton scored three goals in the mid­dle frame.

Maxim Lazarev scored a pair of goals on the power play, while Phélix Martineau also struck.

The third pe­riod was all Sags. Ni­co­las Roy fired a pair of power- play tal­lies of his own.

Alexan­dre Ja­cob pulled the trig­ger on the equal­izer at 14: 58 of the fi­nal stanza.

Alexan­dre Bélanger made 38 saves, while Julio Bil­lia stopped 37 shots.

Game 4 of the se­ries goes tonight in Chicoutimi, with Game 5 slated for Fri­day.
