Sydney Mines man accused of theft remanded
SYDNEY — A 28-year-old Sydney Mines man is to return to provincial court at the end of the month on charges including the theft of a $4,000 ring from a Sydney jewelry store in December.
Edward Joseph Thomas Whitty-LeBlanc is charged with theft and six breaches in connection with the Dec. 27 theft from a downtown Sydney jewelry store.
He is also facing unrelated offences that include criminal harassment, theft and four counts of breaching court orders.
Police were able to recover the stolen ring.
Whitty-LeBLanc, who is on remand, is now to return to court Feb. 28 to enter pleas.
