MACMULLIN, Nathan Gregory
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Nathan Gregory MacMullin, 26, on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
Born in Sydney, he was a son of Cora MacMullin and the late William ‘Billy’ Polegato.
Nathan loved animals and would do anything in his power to keep them safe. He also enjoyed fixing bicycles and building various things in his yard. Nathan was artistic; his escape was listening to alternative music. He also received great pleasure out of drawing, writing lyrics and poetry, singing and dancing. Nothing compared, however, to the love of his close family and friends.
Surviving are his mother, Cora MacMullin, New Waterford; little brother, Andrew MacMullin, Calgary; baby sister, Sunni Jayne; godmother, Theresa Hogan; godfather, Michael MacMullin, all of New Waterford; many aunts and uncles.
Besides his father, Nathan was predeceased by one son, baby Noah; maternal grandparents, Mary (Hogan) MacMullin and Albert Payne; paternal grandfather, Frederick Polegato.
Cremation has taken place. A private funeral service will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, New Waterford, with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery, Scotchtown. Donations in his memory may be made to the Feral and Abandoned Cat Society or Mental Health Services, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at: www.vjmcgillivray.ca.
