FLORE NAMED SECOND STAR
Cape Breton Screaming Eagles forward Giovanni Fiore was named the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s second star for the month of January. The 20-year-old from Laval, Que., scored 12 goals and added 20 assists and was a +17 in 12 games, leading the Screaming Eagles to a 9-2-0-1 record. He registered nine multi-point games in January, and leads the league in goals with 39. Rimouski Océanic forward Tyler Boland was named the first star, while Rouyn-Noranda Huskies defenceman Bruno-Carl Denis earned third-star honours.
