Cape Breton Scream­ing Ea­gles for­ward Gio­vanni Fiore was named the Que­bec Ma­jor Ju­nior Hockey League’s sec­ond star for the month of Jan­uary. The 20-year-old from Laval, Que., scored 12 goals and added 20 as­sists and was a +17 in 12 games, lead­ing the Scream­ing Ea­gles to a 9-2-0-1 record. He reg­is­tered nine multi-point games in Jan­uary, and leads the league in goals with 39. Ri­mouski Océanic for­ward Tyler Boland was named the first star, while Rouyn-No­randa Huskies de­fence­man Bruno-Carl De­nis earned third-star honours.
