It is with great sad­ness, we an­nounce the peace­ful pass­ing of Rose Teresa Landry, age 83, a long-time res­i­dent of French­vale, on Sun­day, Fe­bru­ary 5th, 2017 at the Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Hos­pi­tal, Syd­ney.

In 1978 Teresa was wel­comed into Don­ald and Mar­garet (Peggy) Rank­ins Fam­ily and spent many happy years at Don­mar Farms. Teresa en­joyed over­see­ing the daily op­er­a­tions of the farm and her great­est joy was play­ing with her dog, Terry. She loved all an­i­mals and en­joyed watch­ing the deer and horses in the fields. Her tal­ent was knit­ting and cro­chet­ing. She took great pride in knit­ting hats, mitts, scarves and afghans for friends and fam­ily. In re­cent years, you could find her hav­ing a tea and work­ing on her new­est puz­zle. Teresa al­ways looked for­ward to and ap­pre­ci­ated the com­pas­sion­ate care she re­ceived from County Homemak­ers. Teresa was a kind and car­ing per­son who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Teresa was pre­de­ceased by Don­ald and Peggy Rankin, as well as her long-time friend, Jerome Nadeau. There will be no visi­ta­tion and cre­ma­tion has taken place. A mass in Teresa’s honor will take place Mon­day, Fe­bru­ary 13th, 7 p.m. at Saint Mary’s Par­ish French­vale.

Fu­neral ar­range­ments have been en­trusted to TJ Tracey Fu­neral Home, 370 Re­serve St, Glace Bay 902-849-4199.

In lieu of flow­ers, me­mo­rial do­na­tions may be made to the heart and stroke foun­da­tion of Nova Sco­tia.
