The Louise Gillis rink from the Sydney Curl­ing Club came up short in the page semi­fi­nal at the 2017 AMI Cana­dian Vi­sion Im­paired Curl­ing Cham­pi­onship. The lo­cal team suf­fered a 7-4 loss to Al­berta. The Gillis rink did come home with a bronze medal from the round robin, fin­ish­ing with a 3-3 record and win­ning both tiebreak­ers: 4-3 ver­sus On­tario and 5-3 over Canada. Skip Gillis is joined by lead Joyce Wells, sec­ond/sweeper Terry Lynn Mac­Don­ald, sec­ond/sweeper Mike Vrooman, third Chris Lewis, and guides/coaches John Maru­siak and Sid­ney Fran­cis.
