John Joseph Sandluck, 80, of Mill Creek, passed away on Sun­day, Feb­ru­ary 12, 2017, at the North­side Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal.

Born in Wrox­ton, Saskatchewan on Feb­ru­ary 26, 1936, he was the son of the late James and Eve­lyn Sandluck. He op­er­ated a cran­berry farm in Arichat for many years, be­fore mov­ing to Mill Creek in 1989.

Sur­viv­ing are sons, Der­rick (Mar­i­lyn), MacPher­son’s Mills, Bruce (Huguette), White­horse, Chris (Michelle, Tris­tan, Theo and Taja), Mis­sis­sauga. He was a beloved Gido to his grand­chil­dren, Cait­lyn, Bre­anna, Al­lie and Hunter; sib­lings, Nor­man (Mar­garet), Ge­orge­town, Alma (John) Arte­menko, Mis­sis­sauga; brothers-in-law, Marvin Kells, Joseph Marsh and Melvin Marsh.

Be­sides his par­ents, he was pre­de­ceased by his wife, Thelma (Marsh); brothers, Gor­don and Edd; sis­ter, Sonya Kells; sis­tersin-law, Ellen, Elv­ina, Doris, Evan­ge­line and Mar­garet and brothers-in-law, Am­brose, Ivan and Wal­ter.

The Funeral Mass will be held Wed­nes­day, Feb­ru­ary 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod of­fi­ci­at­ing. A fam­ily com­mit­tal ser­vice will be held at a later date. In lieu of flow­ers, dona­tions may be made to St. Joseph Ceme­tery.
