Valentine’s Day flowers

Cape Breton Post - - CAPE BRETON -

The latest snowstorm may have dominated life in Cape Breton on Tuesday, but Sydney River florist Dave MacKillop, shown above taking an order over the phone, didn’t forget about Valentine’s Day. He managed to open the family-run business at around 2 p.m. after finally getting the store’s Kings Road parking lot cleared. While many customers appreciated the opening of MacKillops Flowers, the owner jokingly said that Valentine’s Day was, for those not able to realize their plans on Tuesday, postponed until today. For more on the storm and its aftermath see story on page A1.
