May 4, 2013. Craig Kel­loway, 31, of Cal­gary, Alta., for­merly of Glace Bay, died fol­low­ing an al­ter­ca­tion in a neigh­bour’s home.

Oct. 28, 2015, Ni­cholas Ras­berry, 32, was ac­quit­ted of sec­ond-de­gree mur­der in Kel­loway’s death but found guilty of man­slaugh­ter.

Dec. 11, 2015, Ras­berry was sen­tenced to seven years in prison.

Feb. 11, 2016, Ras­berry was freed on bail pend­ing an ap­peal.

Nov. 8, 2016, The Crown be­gan an ap­peal of the sec­ond-de­gree mur­der ac­quit­tal and the de­fence be­gan an ap­peal of Ras­berry’s man­slaugh­ter con­vic­tion.

Feb. 12, 2017, Ras­berry was ar­rested and charged with three counts of breach­ing his re­lease con­di­tions and re­sist­ing ar­rest.
