Trial date to be set for Do­min­ion man

SYD­NEY — A 44-year-old Do­min­ion man is to ap­pear in Supreme Court next month to re­ceive a trial date on charges in­clud­ing un­law­ful en­try. Stephen Ed­ward Samp­son of Park Street will also stand trial on charges of ut­ter­ing a threat and pos­ses­sion of a weapon for a dan­ger­ous pur­pose (a knife). The of­fences are al­leged to have oc­curred Sept. 25, 2015, in Do­min­ion. A trial date will be set March 6. Mean­while, Samp­son is sched­uled back in pro­vin­cial court Feb. 22 to en­ter pleas on four counts of ut­ter­ing threats and three counts of as­sault and a sin­gle count of breach­ing a court or­der. The of­fences are al­leged to have oc­curred April 7, 2016 in Glace Bay. Samp­son continues his re­lease on con­di­tions.
