New trial date to be set

ESKA­SONI — A Lunen­burg County man is to re­turn to Supreme Court next week to re­ceive a new trial date.

Don Ash­ley John­son, 29, is charged with sex­ual as­sault with a weapon and un­law­ful con­fine­ment.

The of­fences are al­leged to have oc­curred May 19, 2016, in Eska­soni.

John­son, a res­i­dent of Gold River, has elected to be tried by Supreme Court judge alone and was sched­uled to re­ceive a trial date Mon­day.

A trial date is now ex­pected to be set Feb. 21.
